Sick babies

Poor babies. It's the first time they have both been sick at the same time. Avery's face says it all..

Avery had a cold a month or so ago but Asher didn't get it. This time they both have a cold but Asher has had it worse with a deep cough. We were a little worried about them but they are doing quite a bit better tonight.

This was Asher this morning. Even though he is sick he was trying so hard to be happy and smile. He's such a sweet little guy. They are both such sweethearts. I hope they get better soon.

Picture time!

Halle wanted to hold both babies at once. She did it! I was pretty impressed! That's not easy to do even for me! She is such a good big sister and is so sweet with these babies. I know I've said it before many times, but she is such a good helper! I love my sweet Halle girl so much and don't know what I would so without her!

Then I took snapped off a bunch of photos of the babies. I love how they have so many different little expressions. I was excited I got the one of Avery with her toungue out because she loves sticking her toungue out!

I had to get some shots of holding the babies sitting up on my lap. I love how cute they look with there little bobble heads.

When I hold Asher he loves to look right and me and loves to be talked to. He looks me back right in the eyes and smiles and talks back.

Loyal pooch

I've been a little frustrated with this pooch lately...barking and waking up the babies after I spend a half hour getting them down, running out the front door so I have to chase her down the street in my pjs, jumping on the table eating food off uncleared dishes, the list goes on! But then something like this happens and I think...aw, I guess she is pretty cute. Halle's been sick so I let her sleep in and Milly has been beside herself pacing and standing outside Halle's door all morning waiting for her to come out! She loves Luke and Halle. Then at Luke's parent teacher conference last week the teachers showed me some writing assignments he had done and more than half of them were about Milly and how your dog always loves you no matter what. And a couple days ago Asher was inside sleeping in his bouncer chair and Cory was outside holding Avery and Millu was out there and he heard Asher start to cry inside and Milly looked up at Cory and then raced in the house. When Cory got in Milly was standing next to Asher like she was there to comfort him and then leaned over and licked his face (kind of gross but cute at the same time!) And then I remember..oh yeah, this is why we have a dog! I guess we'll have to keep her. Don't ask me tomorrow though...that could be a different story! ;)

Best big sister

Halle has been so helpful with the babies and loves them so much! Whenever they are crying she gets their binkies and does whatever she can to help me get them settled down.

This morning I was trying to get both babies down for a nap and they were both crying. Halle shared her favorite blanket and bunny with Asher and rocked his cradle to help get him settled down. She loves Asher so much!

Awesome Grandma

Grandma Lori has been coming every day since I had the twins to help out! I don't know what I would do without her! She loves my kids so much and I am so grateful to have her help and have another person around that loves them so much that is able to help me take care of them. We are so blessed to have her!

Two month old pictures

I took the babies two month old pictures today. They are actually 2 1/2 months now and I kept meaning to take these the last couple weeks. They are getting so fun and expressive.

Asher is such a happy, smiley little guy. We call him our "Little Man" and our "Jolly good fellow" because he loves to smile and is just so cuddly and cute.  He loves to look up at whoever is holding him and just stare at you. It's really sweet. He's funny though because when he gets sad or mad his face can change so fast and he has the saddest sad face! He gives big smiles and little cooing noises. He is a big boy and very solid! We always laugh about the difference between the babies. Asher is much bigger. Even though he is only a couple pounds heavier that couple pounds makes a big difference. His hair is coming back in pretty dark. He's a smart little guy! He's seen me ask him to stick out his tongue many times and I noticed about a week ago that as soon a I picked him up he would just start sticking his tongue out at me without me even telling him too. I think he remembers that I always ask him to do that and he sees I praise him and get excited about it so be beats me to it and starts sticking his tongue at me before I can even ask him too! We love this little guy so much. He had such a pure sweetness about it.

What a blessing these twins are!
